Plugin installation

Check the previous chapter regarding prerequisites.
In  your Prestashop back office, go to the Modules category:

  1. Click on the Add a new plugin icon 

  2. Click the Choose a file button . In the file explorer that appears, select the downloaded plugin and then confirm. 

  3. Click the Load Plugin button 

  4. Payline  appears in the list of plugins. Complete the installation by clicking the Install button.

Prerequisites: Version  8.x minimum.

To open the configuration pages you must select the module: 

  1. Select the menu: Modules > Module Manager.
  2. In the Payment section, you will find " Payline ".
  3. Then click the Configure button in the Payline module row.

You can also select the payment module in the Payment > Payment Methods menu.




Payline Configuration

In this section, you will be able to configure the connection settings for your merchant registered on the Monext administration center.


Payline API credentials

    • Production mode 
      • Activation to ON  only if the entered identifiers are those of production.
    • Merchant ID / Access Key
    • Point of sale
    • Smartdisplay
      • Allows you to select the payment methods accepted at a merchant's point of sale. This setting prevents all payment methods from being displayed. To do this, simply set this parameter and use the same value in the "Display Payment Methods" menu configuration within the Monext administration center. 

Proxy configuration 

    • The  proxy configuration section  only needs to be filled in if internet access from the server hosting your shop is via an HTTP proxy.


Click the  Save button.  Your information is imported from Payline and the two drop-down lists appear:

    • Point of sale  : The list contains the active points of sale for your Payline account. Select the one you want to use in your Prestashop store.
    • Default contract  : The list contains the active contracts for the selected point of sale. Select the one that will be used by default.

  • Error message 
    • Customization of technical error messages (01, 02, 03, 04 and default).
      You can customize the messages according to the type of  return code .



Simple payment

This insert allows you to activate the Simple payment method, which refers to non-recurring cash payments in several installments. 


  • Activation of this payment type.

  • Title on the payment page

  • A subtitle is available to supplement the information on the payment page.

  • Flow rate mode
    • Authorization + Debit for payment upon order . 
    • Authorization for payment upon shipment . 
    • Payment capture on event  (only in Authorize mode):
      You can automatically capture the order when an order event occurs. You can then view the order status.
    •  
  • Payment by wallet allows you to display the buyer's electronic wallet, if they have already authorized and made a payment.

  • User experience allows you to select the display mode: Inshop or Redirection . For the latter mode, you can enter the ID of the personalization page . 

    • (avertissement)  Redirection mode : You must verify that the Session Token parameter of the Return URL is correctly configured. 
      The  Point of Sale  parameter name must be paylinetoken for the Return URL to redirect the buyer to the store.

  • Default category allows you to configure the category for specific payment methods: see details by payment method .


Click the Save button.


Widget Configuration

You can enable the color, style, and text of the call-to-action (CTA) button.

  • Label CTA allows you to change the text by adding the payment amount; this function is essential for mobile phone payments.
  • CTA color : pre-selected colors or defined in hexadecimal. 
  • Darker or lighter CTA color on hover: The No option allows default values.
  • Text color and size.
  • Rounded edges
  • Payment widget color
  • Text below the CTA.



NX Payment

Web payment in installments : NX payment over a period with a start and end date.


This payment method allows merchants to offer buyers the option to pay for purchases in several installments using only redirection; see the documentation .

Attention : to take into account payment deadlines in several installments or subscription in your store, it is necessary to enter the following URL in the URL notification field of the point of sale detail in the administration center.

Recurring Payment

Recurring web payment  : REC payment with a start date and no end date.


This payment mode allows merchants to offer buyers recurring subscription-based payment.

You must provide the necessary information to offer a subscription;   consult the documentation.

It is also proposed to list the eligible Products with the product family, product identifiers or product references.

Attention : to take into account payment deadlines in several installments or subscription in your store, it is necessary to enter the following URL in the URL notification field of the point of sale detail in the administration center.

Configuration des contrats

This section allows you to select from the active payment methods of your point of sale those that will be used in the store.


Follow the on-screen instructions to indicate:

  • Payment methods offered in the store : those that will be offered to the buyer during the ordering process in your store.

  • Alternative payment methods in case of payment failure  : those that will be offered to the buyer on the Payline pages, if their first payment attempt fails.

Notification URL

When configuring Payline in your PrestaShop back office, you may see a warning banner.

Logs Payline 

 Allows you to trace all calls to the plugin's web services between Prestashop and Monext.
